Wildlife officials have relocated two young mountain lion siblings that were recently hanging out in the Wonderland Hills neighborhood.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesman Jason Clay said the two mountain lions were safely tranquilized Saturday after they were found sleeping in a backyard on Mountain Laurel Place just off Broadway.
Clay said this particular pair, a brother and a sister, had been spotted multiple times in north Boulder, particularly in the Wonderland Hills area.
One of the lions caused quite a stir when it spent a day up in a tree near Poplar and Wonderland Hills avenues on April 10, while its sibling was seen wandering a path in the area on that same day.
The pair were also seen April 1 near Kalmia Avenue and Fourth Street. Because of the multiple sightings, Clay said wildlife officials felt it was necessary to move them.
